Community rules
TaleemPK is an academic platform. Users are required to act with honesty regarding the origin of material they post, to contribute constructively, and to treat other users with the respect due to a fellow student.
Rule 1 — Contributions must support academic study
Notes, past papers, questions, answers, corrections and explanations are all permitted, whether substantial in scope or limited to a single clarifying remark.
Rule 2 — Material must not be misattributed
Sharing a teacher's notes with appropriate attribution is permitted. Presenting another person's work as one's own is not. Newly submitted material is compared against existing platform content, and repeated matches result in suspension of earnings eligibility. See Copyright and takedown.
Rule 3 — Examination integrity is mandatory
Requesting guidance on a category of question is permitted studying. Circulating a paper currently being sat, or requesting or supplying answers during an examination, is not. This is the sole category of violation for which a first offence may result in immediate account termination. The applicable standard is set out in full at Academic integrity.
Rule 4 — Harassment is prohibited
Disagreement should be directed at the substance of a post, not at the individual. Continued contact with a user who has requested it cease, organised action against an individual, or attacks based on family, appearance, religion, caste, sect, ethnicity or gender will result in account removal.
Rule 5 — Content must be appropriate for a school-age audience
A substantial proportion of the user base is under eighteen years of age. Sexual content, graphic violence, content promoting self-harm, and references to drugs or gambling are prohibited across all material, including profile images, group covers and Page imagery.
Rule 6 — One account per individual
Additional accounts created to circumvent a restriction, to vote on one's own submissions, to inflate a Page's following, or to review one's own Page will result in removal of all associated accounts, including the original.
Rule 7 — Unsolicited commercial activity is prohibited
Repeated promotional posting, referral links, unsolicited messages and undisclosed affiliate links constitute spam. Academies and tutors seeking to reach students should use Pages or the tuition listings, which exist for this purpose.
Rule 8 — Private information belongs to the individual concerned
A person's phone number, address, national identity number, roll number, examination results or photograph may not be shared without their consent. This extends to screenshots of private correspondence in which the other party is identifiable.
Rule 9 — Commercial interest must be disclosed
Recommending one's own academy, materials or Page is permitted provided the affiliation is disclosed. Making such a recommendation while presenting oneself as an unaffiliated student is not.
Enforcement
Violations are not treated uniformly, as their severity differs materially:
- A first, minor violation results in removal of the content, with notice of the reason.
- Repeated violations result in a formal warning followed by a temporary posting restriction.
- Serious violations — harassment, examination misconduct, sexual content involving minors, or impersonation — result in account removal, typically without prior warning.
A record is maintained of all enforcement action taken against an account, and repeat conduct is assessed against that record rather than in isolation.
Appeals
Every enforcement decision may be appealed via the support desk, and each appeal is reviewed by a person other than the original decision-maker. A response is typically provided within three days. Where a decision is found to have been made in error, it is reversed and the reversal is not held against the user.
Reporting violations
Every post, comment, message, group and Page includes a reporting function. Reports are reviewed by a member of the moderation team. Safety and reporting describes the process in full, including guidance for situations involving risk to a person.
